Teeth Whitening

Working with one of our dentists at Angel Dental Care Picton will provide you with access to high grade gels that safely lift deep tooth stain and effectively brighten your smile with the least sensitivity possible.

Should I whiten my teeth?

Teeth whitening is one of the best first steps in cosmetic dentistry. Some of our clients find that whitening is all they need to help their teeth look their best. By brightening your natural tooth enamel, we can match updated fillings, crowns, or other restorations to an even whiter shade.

What types of teeth whitening are there?

Choose between a take-home kit with trays you wear once a day, or an in-chair (same-day) procedure at our dentist’s office in Picton. Depending on the extent of your tooth discoloration and personal preferences, either one may be appropriate. The only difference is one works faster than the other.

Maintain your results between checkups by topping off as needed. Simply get a tube of our refill gel to wear in your trays for a few one-hour sessions.

Do I qualify for teeth whitening?

Whitening is ideal for teeth that are free of cavities or gum disease. If you have existing dental work in your smile zone, those restorations will not respond to bleaching agents. As such, we’ll need to update them to match your brighter tooth colour after the whitening process is complete.

Teeth Whitening Maintenance

We highly encourage our patients to brush and floss daily, as well as schedule six-monthly cleans. If you’re someone who tends to clench and grind your teeth, it’s smart to invest in a night guard to prevent unnecessary chipping.
